2020 Democrats
I happened to come across a group of young Democrats eager to define their vision for the future of our country. The group is called 2020Democrats. The group is asking young people to submit their visions of what they think the U.S. should be like in the year 2020.
Since I am in my 80s I am not submitting a vision. But if you are young, please do. You have a chance to affect how our country will develop. Grab it!
Presidential candidate Howard Dean presented his vision to the group. You will enjoy reading it on this site. Here is a quote from his vision:
"If September 11, 2001 taught America anything it is that we are stronger when we are beholden to each other as a national community, and weaker when we act only as individuals."
This echoes the theme of my blog: Challenging the religion of competition in the U.S. We must all learn to be more cooperative in order to make our country great once again.
