We Don't Agree, But...

A "Big Lie" or a "Horrible Truth"?

President Bush visited the 3rd Infantry Division, which was the first to see action in Baghdad, in order to congratulate the soldiers for their valor. His reception was a bit muted. As one of the soldiers said:

"What I heard him say was 'You went there. You took names. Came home. Now you're going back.' He likes war. He should go fight in a war for two days and see how he likes it."

Why is Bush going to send them back? The big lie again:

"We're rolling back the terrorist threat, not on the fringes of its influence but at the heart of its power."

It is hard to believe that after all that has happened, Bush sticks to his big lie. Of course, now that U.S. forces are in Iraq, terrorists sense an opportunity and are streaming in. This will eventually make Bush's big lie the "truth."

What a horrible "truth" this will be!
