We Grew the Monster Saddam
I visited several blogs today. And I picked up this gem by Arthur Silbur:
"The truth of the matter, which I think very few people appreciate fully today, is that terrorists, including Islamic terrorists, would not represent any sort of threat to us -- except for the assistance, aid and technology provided by the West."
His article is long and detailed. It shows how the West grew the monster we call Saddam Hussein. Without our help, he insists, Saddam would be no threat at all. Neither would Osama bin Laden and other terrorists. We in the West equipped them with weapons for killing.
