What is Liberalism?
American Prospect is running a contest. They want a submission of 30 words that offers a fast definition of liberalism. I have submitted mine. Why not do the same? We need to clarify our position in order to be better able to sell it.
My definition is as follows:
Equal opportunity for free speech, expression of conscience and economic betterment; responsibility for ethnic and religious empathy; and helpfulness to the poor, sick and distressed, both domestically and abroad.
